The fee is $1.95 + tax per month.
Upon failed payment of the 911 fee, you will be notified and have 1 month to update your payment method before service suspension. After 1 month of suspension, with no update to the payment method on file, your service will be cancelled.

- Click “Update Payment Information” which is displayed as soon as you enter your account.
If you have forgotten your credentials, use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page and check your email(s) for the credentials to be sent to you.
If you no longer have access to your email address associated with your FreePhoneLine account, please contact our support team to update your email address for you.
Yes you can! There are 2 options:
Prepay for X number of Months/Years
An agent will call you to process your prepayment. You will essentially have a prepaid balance on your account, then your monthly 911 fees will deduct from the credit.
Switch to Annual Billing
We can change your billing frequency from monthly to yearly, which would be $23.40 + tax per year.

Unfortunately no. As a provider of phone service in Canada, FreePhoneLine is legally required to provide you with the ability to call 911 for emergency services.
This fee will not come into effect until October 1st, 2024. Your monthly billing date is based on when you signed up. You should already be receiving $0 monthly invoices for your FreePhoneLine service on your billing date. Your first billing date after October 1st will include the $1.95 Emergency Service Fee.
Example:
You signed up March 22. Your billing date will be the 22nd day of each month. Your first invoice with the 911 Emergency Service Fee will be October 22, 2024.
FreePhoneLine’s systems that store customer information and process payments have many security layers to protect your information. Customer and payment information is stored internally on our encrypted database, so it is not being sent to a third party, nor is it stored on the internet. Your payment information is also not stored in plain text, so our employees don’t even have access to it. Our payment processing system uses a token for processing monthly payments.
No, the $1.95/month fee for 911 Emergency Services covers your calls to 911. You will not be individually charged by FreePhoneLine for the calls you make to 911.
Please note: If you close your account, you will be forfeiting your phone number along with any calling credits tied to your Free Phone Line account. You will no longer be able to transfer the number to another provider once your account is closed.
