You can use your own IP devices with Fongo Works, as long as they are included on our list of certified devices below. If your device model is not included on the list, send us a message so we can determine if your device will work.

Your device must be restored to factory settings and unlocked from any configurations from other VOIP providers, prior to the device setup appointment.

How To Setup

Your device must be restored to factory settings and free of any configurations from other VOIP providers, prior to the device setup appointment. Upon purchasing the BYOD setup in the Fongo Works shop, an agent will contact you via email to schedule a date/time for a virtual setup appointment. During the appointment, a support agent will take control of your computer remotely while your IP device is connected to the same internet network, which will allow them to set up the device.

Each Pro Device you add to your Fongo Works system will add a recurring $5/month fee to your Pro Membership.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. At the time of your appointment, the agent will send you a link via email to join the setup session, which will allow them access to your computer.
  2. Once they have access to your computer, they will connect to the device’s back-end configuration by searching for it in your browser
    • (your device should be connected to the same internet network as your computer)
  3. Once connected to the device, the agent will set it up! 

Note: You will not have voice-interaction with the setup agent as the appointment session is not a voice call. 

Once the appointment has been scheduled, the BYOD fee is non-refundable. 

If your device is un-configurable or does not function properly for reasons beyond Fongo’s control, your BYOD fee is non-refundable.
